I have to wait until spring to actually use it, but it has a nice look. I look forward to using it when the weather warms up.
This is the answer to the quandary of what bird bath to use in freezing weather! My latest birdbath had plastic tab attachment points that became brittle and shattered. The design on *this birdbath* is nothing short of brilliant: the bowl simply lifts off the top for easy cleaning, and the rubber coated support points on the base keep it from moving around. I did add a 70W dual electric heater/fountain which fits perfectly in the bowl and keeps the water moving.
I also appreciate the heft of this birdbath- I expect that it will be fine through the heaviest of winds, yet it's not so heavy that it can't be moved with ease.
Finally, I love that the bowl is solid copper (we'll see if that helps with algae grown in the summer) but I'm glad I got the one with the pewter finish. In this area, copper items are often stolen due to the cash value at scrap yards.
In short, this is the birdbath that I wish I had found a long time ago. And the price is fantastic deal for such a solidly made, high quality product from a small business.
This birdbath is absolutely stunning! I can't wait to put it out for our feathered friends. It arrived in a timely fashion and very well packaged.
We looked at so many weathervanes for our pavilion and chose this mermaid. She is beautiful and we love how the sun reflects on her. This was the perfect choice and receive many compliments. She arrived quickly and was packaged securely. My husband couldn’t wait until our pavilion was finished to put her on the cupola!
