I purchased two Smithsonian Vinyl Cupolas along with two Eagle-Cottage-Figured-Polished weathervanes from Good Directions Inc. The selection of each was easy and seamless. They all arrived in very well protected packaging, no damage of any kind and in a very timely manner. Thank you Good Directions for making my purchase of these items such a good experience,
After our previous weather vane experienced an issue, Good Directions sent us a new one. We are very pleased with this company and would not think twice about buying from them again. Thank you Good Directions, your response was amazing and your products are beautiful.
It took my too excellent carpenters a little over two and a half days to install my new beautiful cupola and weathervane. See attached photo. What I should mention, however, is that they did not think the cupola, as it was shipped, was strong enough to withstand the north east winds that we experience here on Cape Cod facing the Atlantic Ocean. They therefore added some structural support to what you had sent and were very pleased with the total result.

Love my 956P recently installed. Mine is mounted using 3 of the steel rod protruding down threw our top story composite shingles and locked in tight to our attic wood structural members.
Issue- When wind speeds exceed +/- 15 MPH, the play between the brass rod that's brazed to the bird underside which drops down onto the steel rod generates a clanking noise because of the gap. The clanking noise is transferred through the steel rods to the roof structural members and into the house. This is an issue.
Solution- A strong sealed bearing mechanism incorporated in the lower supporting steel rods with a male thread and female thread on each end combined with filling of the previously mention gap with silicone cauking.
